Photographing babies practice…

No, this isn’t my baby, I borrowed a baby today. Thanks Cena and James for letting me borrow baby Lee. He was super cute I wish ALL the pictures I took would have done his cuteness justice, but most were blurry and dark and not great, my fault, not baby Lee’s. Anyway, thanks.

2 commentsTerms to know…
….if your husband collects arcades (or pinballs), if your a nerd or if you don’t want friends anymore. Well, I guess you can have friends with a equal nerd status.
Here are some terms I know:
Coin Mechs
Cherry Switches
KLOV
BYOAC
Warehouse Raid
Bumpers
Track Ball
PCB
Side Art
Marquee
Bezel
Emulator
Plunger
Flipper
Electro-mechanical
Control Panel
So yeah, no definitions needed, I just wanted to impress you with my uber nerdy knowledge.
Actually I tease, I really enjoy the whole arcade scene and I really love sharing a hobby with my husband. I love looking for deals and going to warehouses. I love helping fix them up and then play them. It’s so fun to have family and friends over for an arcade party. Which reminds me we haven’t had one in a while.
I can’t wait to have a game room some day to display them all and one day to have my kitchen back.

Probably my favorite outfit/jammies that I have. They are a great pair of Ralph Lauren pajamas found at the DI. I always put them on Wellington and now they’re handed down to Hilyard.

‘Hobson’s Choice’ They don’t make em’ like they used to.
My last post was about some of my favorites. Favorite activities, favorite products, and favorite foods. This post is also about a favorite.
Marky introduced me to a movie about two weeks ago called Hobson’s Choice and since then I’ve seen it a good four or five times and I have yet to be sick of it. When asked what my favorite movie is I always reply The Quiet Man. A 50’s romance flick starring John Wayne. But after watching Hobson’s Choice I’ve decided I might change my answer.

Now I say MIGHT because I’ve loved the movie Quiet Man ever since Mark and I watched it together almost 9 years ago. Not only is it a great show but it’s kind of sentimental to me because while Mark was on his mission I used to watch it and think about the good times we had watching it together. It’s hard to say which movie is better they are both so good, so I think I’ll adopt both of them as my favorite movie, sort of a tie (my favorite food/meal is also a tie like that….anyone know what my two favorite meals are?)

Like The Quiet Man, Hobson’s Choice is a 50’s romance, but unlike the Quiet Man its a comedy. Hobson’s Choice is funny, with a quick whit sort of humor that is easy to miss if your not paying attention. It has some great lines in it that I’m already finding myself repeating (which is totally unlike me, I didn’t grow up repeating line after line from movies, okay mabye a little Hook but that’s only because we had a limited number of VHS’s). It’s a feel good movie or I at least think it is. I also found myself using the word “cute” a lot to describe it. That might turn you off and the fact that it’s black and white, but it’s a great show and you should give it a try.
I went on youtube to see if I could find a little clip of one of my favorite parts, but instead I found the entire movie. It’s broken down into ten separate parts. If you can get a copy yourself that would probably be better. I’m sure it would be a lot funner to watch uninterrupted cuddled up on the couch with your sweetie instead of watching it in parts, probably alone, on a hard computer chair. I guess you could at least watch the first or second video to see if its something you would like (the first video moves kinda slow, but things pick up on the second).
Part One

Sorry the embedding was disabled on this video so you’ll have to click the link to watch it.

Trivia about the moive:
-For all you Faulty Tower fans out there…..a young Prunella Scales (Sybil Fawlty) is in it.
-John Mills is in it, the same actor who played the Dad in Disney’s Swiss Family Robinson.

Well I embedded the rest of the videos in order, but It would have taken up a lot of room on the front page so If you’d like to see parts two through ten just click the read more link below.

About a week before having Hilyard we went to the Dinosaur Park in Ogden. I had always wondered what it was all about plus I thought that walking around for a couple hours looking at dinosaur bones might help labor progress. It didn’t, but we still had a great time.
Located at the mouth of Ogden canyon and priced about $5.00 for kids and $7.00 for adults you can wander around this massive exhibit. Inside they have fun activities for the kids to do (costs extra) or you can just look at the bones and at the one and only animatronics part of the whole park (that parts included in the price). Inside will probably be nice in the middle of the summer, with the air conditioning and all. Outside is really where the kids are going to have fun though.
Outside is a big playground, which really, you could do for free at a public park but it’s fun because there are dinos, tortoises and….other creatures (I can’t remember everything that was there) to climb around on. There is a dino slide, and a huge tree that you can climb up in and slide down.

This place was huge, a lot bigger than I thought it would be. You pretty much just walk around exploring and looking at the huge dinosaurs. I imagined all the dinosaurs would move, but they don’t, although there are speakers hidden around so there is dino sounds. It was pretty fun I guess, but I’m sure I would have enjoyed it more if I wasn’t 9 months pregnant. There is a pond with ducks and I even think there was a snack bar but it was closed while we were there. I also liked how the majority of the main pathways are paved so it’s very easy to take a stroller around.
There is also a gift shop where we let Wellington pick out a shiny new dino rock.
Overall I thought it was fun and we would go back but I think we’ll give it another year just so the boys will be older.
