A lot of updates of all the summer fun.

It’s hard to keep up with blogging about all the many summer activities going on…so here are a few of them in short.

We went to Abracadan for the second time the other week. Mark decided that he would get up and volunteer this time. He ended up not going under, so he got sent back to his seat. It was fun, but not as fun as the Melanie show, of course. I think it’s probably funner when you have someone up there you know. This time it was also very hard for me to decide who was really under and who was a possible fake. All I know was that it’s possible to be hypnotized, I didn’t think It was possible until it happed to me.

Funny Boy

Wellington is developing quite a little sense of humor. He knows when things are funny. He knows that playing keep away is funny. He’s caught on that if people are laughing he better laugh too. He has a cute silliness about him that is very apparent in these pictures. Not pictured is one of my favorite things he does; Wellington will put a toy bucket on his head, and walk around. He thinks it’s great!

Wellington is getting to be such a big boy! I can’t believe he will be 2 years old in three months. He is so fun to be around and so silly. I still miss him so much when I’m gone for two or three hours. We went out to see the new Batman movie, and towards the end I leaned over to Mark and said, “Wow this movie is really long, Do you think Wellington is okay?” We sure lucked out with such an easy going, happy baby.

Some of Wellington’s current favorites;

TV Show: Lazytown or as he calls it “Town”
Food: Macaroni and Cheese
New favorite word: Soda
Favorite Toy: His bike
Favorite thing to do with Mommy: The dishes
Favorite thing to do with Daddy: Ride the Scooter
Favorite place to go: To see the ducks
Favorite joke: Squirting people with his squirt bottle

Wootacalifragilisticexpialidocious

Woot.com is having another woot off today. In case you missed our earlier post about woot-off’s, it’s basically they are taking all of the stuff that they didn’t sell out of in the past, and marking it down even further until it does sell out. Usually you have to wait until midnight for a new deal, but on Woot Off’s, a new deal is posted after the previous deal sells out, so check back often as they will have lots of good deals through out the day. And by often, means don’t leave your computer…they’ve already had some great deals…I’ll be up late tonight I’m sure…clicking the refresh button. There will be a status bar (just like the one above) that will tell you how much an item is left (doesn’t give an exact number, but as the stock diminishes the bar goes down).

Good luck wooting off!

It’s hard to eat a snickers for the sake of art.

I’ve always thought stop motion was really cool looking, it’s pretty fascinating how it’s done. My first attempt at it, was part of my Mommy Monotony video. It was okay, I was mostly just goofing.

Well, my interest has sparked again. Mark and I ran across some cool videos, with incredible looking stop motion. They’re by Pes. I’m sure you’ve seen one or two of their commercials before…the most popular one is their human skateboard one.

Summer Vacation, Part 3-Some Serenity

You’ve heard about most of our vaction now…

Now this is the part of the Summer Vacation series that turns a bit celestial. While we were downtown Salt Lake, we made our way over to Temple Square. A great place to visit for members and non-members alike.

I personally love visiting there because it brings back great childhood memories. We would go there often to see the Christmas lights, throw pennies in the fountain and to see the Tabernacle choir. It also is a peaceful place, some serenity in a noisy, hectic city.

This was Wellington’s first time on the Temple grounds, and his favorite part of the whole thing was the fountain. I held him over the edge while he dipped his feet in. As we walked around the Temple, Wellington would sit down on the low window wells, at everyone actually, and there were a lot of them.

Your getting Sleepy…

Your getting sleepy, very sleepy! And when I snap my fingers you will awake and you will have the strongest desire to go to the Abracadan show this Friday, at the Celebration Center- 8:30p.m.

Abracadan

Hey, remember that post a while back, the one with all the photos of me doing embarrassing stuff? Well were going back for more shameless punishment!

We’re really excited to go to this show. It should be fun because I think Mark is going to try to get hypnotized this time. Sorry to disappoint my audience, but I wont be dancing like Brittney Spears this time. Tickets are only $5 a person! See you there!

Summer Vacation, Part 2-Families that game together, stay together.

Okay, that has to be about the dumbest title yet! Here’s more about our fun filled day in SLC….After we went to Hogle Zoo we grabbed a bite to eat, then it was off to a nickel arcade.

Mark and I both agree this is one of the best arcades we’ve been to in a long time. And we’re the couple to know, cause, well, we went to an arcade on our honeymoon for starters. This particular arcade had the largest pinball collection in Utah. And after playing a few, I’m a confirmed pinball fan. We currently have an older pinball, but I’d love a new one with all the bells and whistles, and ramps.

Part 2-Families that blah, blah, blah….

Wellington had a great time running around to all the different machines, it was hard to keep up with him actually, he never wanted to sit still long enough to play anything with us. He rode a couple kiddie rides, which I think were his favorite.

Summer Vacation, Part 1-The Zoo

We had a mini vacation last week. Mark got two days off, so we had a nice long, four day weekend. We made our way down to Salt Lake City on Thursday, to go the Zoo, play around, stop off at an arcade, then we hit the Geex Electronics and Gaming Expo. Friday we had a Resuce Me marathon, and went camping (more on that later). Saturday and Sunday we had a nice relaxing time, mostly staying at home. We did a lot this weekend so I’ll have to do more than one post about it.

PART 1-THE ZOO

We’ve been wanting to take Wellington to the Hogle Zoo for a while. He loves animals, so we thought this would be a fun activity to do with him. We left Logan early, and got to the Zoo before it got too hot. Wellington is under 2 so he got in for free, which was great. We saw all different types of animals, Giraffes, Elephants, Monkeys, Rhinoceroses, reptiles, bears, zebras….too many to remember.
