I’m awesome, try me out!
Take note: This site is super awesome fun! seeqpod.com
Basically you search for an artist or song and have the option of embedding it, sharing it, or downloading it (not recommended:) So, search for music, make play lists and share it on your blog. See Awesome right??!!
You also have the option of a large player like this…or a smaller one. Also its handy to just listen to it if you are bored of your current music. It was pretty easy and user friendly, so I expect some decent music on everyones blog. And if you can’t figure it out, your on your own. Just kidding. Ask a question if you can’t figure it.
As you can see, I searched for all different types of music, and found everything I searched for.
When your on the actual site, after you have searched for an artist or song, next to the search button is a “discover” button, this gives you similar artists or songs that you might like. How handy is that!
Baby, that Hot for Teacher is for you.
5 commentsKSL News coverage of Pres. Hinckley’s Funeral
From KSL.com, just found a few things intresting about Pres. Hinckley’s funeral:
With thousands of people about to descend on downtown Salt Lake City over the next three days to pay tribute to President Gordon B. Hinckley, police and church officials are getting ready. The official mourning period for President Hinckley will begin tomorrow.
President Hinckley will lie in state inside the Conference Center in the Hall of Prophets, where the busts of each of the Church presidents, from Joseph Smith to President Hinckley, line the windows. Workers are cleaning the room today, as church employees will be the first to file past the casket from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. tomorrow. The public will enter the Conference Center on the south side, be ushered inside, and then upstairs to the room. The number of actual tickets for the funeral that are available to the public still has not been announced.
3 commentsRockin’ Prize Annoucment

We’ve gotten a few submissions, we’re up to 5 entries now! Yahoo! That just means that those that have submitted so far have a much better chance of winning a $15 gift card at Amazon.com! That’s right, who ever is voted the one with the least shame, can spend the winnings on Amazon.com! You have till midnight on Feb 1st (that’s this Friday) to email me your pictures and videos of shame! Email to mel@melarky.com

And what’s up with my side of the family, they haven’t sent anything yet! Friends can also enter!
I’m sure you get it, but just to clarify, if you enter a friend, and that picture or video wins, you don’t get the prize, the person you entered, that has no shame gets it! It’s only fair to reward the no shame! But I guess if you entered a child of yours, you can secretly claim it as your own! I would.
6 comments“Smile”

I love the picture where Wellington is turned around. Wellsy is a great picture taker. He knows when a camera is pointed at him, he needs to smile. He did great in the photo booth, and even though it was his first time in one, he knew right what to do.
I’ll post the pictures soon of the one that we took with me, Wellington, and my two sisters…I still can’t believe we all fit in the photo booth.
2 commentsNews…
My Mom called us to let us know that President Gordon B. Hinckley passed away tonight. He went peacefully, with his family around him around 7 o’clock tonight. It was just due to his age.
I’m really sad about this news, but glad he was reuntied with his wife. It was kinda of a suprise, he always seemed so full of energy. I cried a bit tonight, because even though I didn’t know him personally, I still felt a personal connection to him. He is the President I remember most.
There’s a lot of news coverage on this on ksl.com if you want to watch video news coverage and stories of his life. I feel like for me, the best way to honor him, is to remember all that he taught us and the example he set for us, and try our best to live our lives as he did.
It really makes me think about the Plan of Happiness, and my testimony that I know that we will be reunited with our loved ones someday if we live the gospel and receive the necessary ordinances.
3 commentsBlogging Rut??
Having a hard time thinking of what to put on your blog??? This site is full of fun stuff, quizzes and widgets, to put on your blog. It definitely helps if your in a rut in writing.
1 commentShameless Contest!!!
Do you care what others think of you?? If you do, your probably not going to win this one…This is the No Shame Contest!

Submit a photo or a video to mel@melarky.com, showing or telling us why you have the least shame!
Example of a submission…

This contest is open to anyone, old or young, family or friends, even if we know you or not. Just have your submission in by February 1st! You can also nominate others, so if you have that embarrassing blackmail picture, send it in. If more than one picture or video is submitted for one person, then I’ll just pick the best one to post.
Example of submitting a friend…
Videos would be great and one that I can embed on my site would be the best, like a video from youtube. If you send me a video, just email me the link.
Yuri, I’m hoping to see the Berries and Cream video!
If it were me I would submit the video where I dress up like a pirate and go to Lee’s market place. I would definitely win first place for that.
But, I’m not including myself in the contest.
I will post all pictures and videos and then everyone can vote who they think has the least shame. Email all submissions to mel@melarky.com by Feb. 1st, so you have about a week to get it done. After voting, one winner will be awarded a prize…I haven’t decided what the prize is yet…I’ll get back to you on that.

www.lastexittonowhere.com Last Exit To Nowhere, is a unique site that has cool designs which are inspired by some of the most memorable places, corporations and companies in the movies. Some of the designs you’ll find are; The Overlook Hotel, as seen in the movie The Shinning, Mighty Micks Boxing from the movie Rocky or The Winchester Bar from Shaun of the Dead. Prices are in pounds (17.50) so you’ll have to do some calculating but run about $34.00 American….a bit much but that’s the price to pay to look cool. Sizes are from small to x large and t shirt styles limited….short sleeve crew neck.

www.threadless.com I love this shirt site, funny enough, not enough love to buy anything from them yet. I have a favorite shirt that I’d like to buy but they don’t have my size in stock. This is a community based site and there are new designs all the time. You can even submit desings and if they get printed, you get paid. I know my sister Carrie has bought three or four shirts from threadless before and has been very happy. I love the kids clothes on here too. They have a $10 shirt sale once and a while so check back. Sizes range from small to 2x(in guys). Styles include, long sleeve, short sleeve, and even hoodies.

shirt.woot.com If you check this site everyday you can usually get something you like for an awesome deal. Everyday they feature one t-shirt, and it always costs $10 with no shipping. That is an awesome deal! I just ordered a shirt and should be receiving it soon. It really is hit and miss sometimes but when you get the hit, its great! Sizes depend on stock, but can range from xxs to 3xl (in guys). Pretty much this is a price you can’t beat! I highly recommend this site!

www.80stees.com This site is consistently good. It has great tees featuring all things 80’s; tv, movies, video games, cartoons, food and music. Prices range from $10 (clearance items) to $35. Shipping depends on multiple items but is average. They have great sizes, adult xs to 4xl great for those big guys (or gals). And junior sizes from small to 2xl. Many styles to chose from.

www.palmercash.com Super vintage cool looking tees. There’s actually a Sale going on right now ($10 shirts). I’m probably not cool enough to wear a shirt from here but I love their designs. Most are funny, but there are a few with “crass” humor. They do have a few jackets, and no kids sizes. Shipping is great here, they have a flat rate of $4.50. Prices are from usually around $15 to $25.

www.cafepress.com Always a good place to get a t-shirt. Lots, Tons, Millions of designs to chose from. Sizes range from super skinny to super fat and prices range from to cheap to moderately spendy. Sorry I don’t have an exact range for you, but this site is so massive with many options. I’ve bought a few shirts from the site before and have been very happy with them. One of Mark’s favorite shirts, the green arcade one, is from this site. You can also submit your own design and sell it. Tons of styles as well as baby sizes.

www.babesta.com I love this site and have bought one thing off of it. I bought a donkey kong onsie for Wellington a while back. They are only baby and kid sizes! And If you want your baby or kid to be cool, you will shop from here. Oh, and apparently this site was seen on Rachel Ray.

www.bustedtees.com I ran across this site just recently and have yet to buy anything, but I love the tees. There were some real stinkers (ie: dirty or offensive), but a few I wouldn’t mind getting (the non-stinkers). Sizes are average, small to xl. And feature American Apparel sizes. Prices seem pretty average, about $15 to $25 bucks…and it looks like they have a few kids sizes as well. |
