BFF
I was really lucky to have some great friends as I was growing up. I was looking through some pictures and I started to remember all the fun times we had. Sleepovers, 80’s night, girls camp, trips and plenty other fun.

Girls Camp: Natatlie, Kirsten, Me, Megan, Jill.
I’m thankful that all my friends were members of the Church. They were great examples to me. I never had to worry about lowering my standards or being peer pressured. We were all in the same ward, went to the same school, and hung out together.

Salt Lake Temple: Jill, Kirsten, Me.
I lived in Fruit Heights, Ut. (that’s right by Kaysville) from about 5th grade to 8th grade. I think I met Natalie first then soon after that I met Kirsten.
There was Natalie, Kirsten, Jen, Megan, Jill, Tammy, there were some other girls and I’m trying to remember their names, but I can’t. Later Sheri moved into the ward and immediately joined our group of friends.

Me and Kirsten
Being in the same ward we experienced girls camp together, Temple baptism trips, and special activities I will never forget.
We moved between my 8th and 9th grade year and I was so sad to go. It was really hard for me to leave this tightly knit group of friends. Also I was leaving a very sheltered, very LDS school and I went from that to a school with metal detectors, security cameras, and where I was the minority.
We did move back to the Kaysville area when I was in my Junior year of High School. It was hard to pick up with my friends from where we were, but we still hung out and had some good times.

Kirsten, Natalie, Jen, Me, Sheri.
I haven’t seen most of my friends for years and some of them are married and have kids. I’d love to get together with them sometime and catch up…
7 commentsBiscuts, So Easy!
This is my new favorite biscuit recipe. Mark had submitted this one to recipes.melarky.com hoping I would try it one day.
I finally gave it a try and I love it. They were so easy to make. It took like two minutes to mix, throw them in the oven, then brush a buttery garlic on the top when they came out. They were so delicious.

4 commentsReally, the show about Vegetables?
Wellington is starting to pay more attention to shows now. I tivo’d a whole bunch of different kinds of kid shows to see what Welly would like. Teletubbies, LazyTown, Care Bares, Blues Clues, Thomas the Tank(boy that one is boring)…
And of all the shows I tivo’d he payed attention to Veggie Tales the most. Really, VeggieTales? I just never thought of that one, I’m a bit suprised he likes that one, but I think he likes the music in that one.
Besides VeggieTales he likes to watch Go Baby, Sing Yourself Silly and The Best of Elmo DVD’s.
Any suggestions on what a baby his age would like to watch? He’s about 10 1/2 months now.
I’ll have to try some other shows that are on that list.

Yup, this is just what it sounds like.
Smart Chocolate is a premium rice crisp chocolate bar that has natural botanicals to help relieve both the physical and the emotional symptoms of PMS. Mark wishes I would get some…
Knowing me if I had it, I’d eat it all the time and not just once a month.
I love chocolate! I know others will say they love chocolate too, but ask yourself this… Do you love it enough to eat Chocolate Ex-lax if its the only chocolate in the house?
Once when I was a single gal, I searched our apartment for chocolate and could only find some in our medicine cabinet. I took two or three squares hoping it wouldn’t affect me too much.
It did, but it was worth it.
On a totally unrelated matter, I have to go to the bathroom.
Knowing me if I had it, I’d eat it all the time and not just once a month.

8 commentsCoolest Brother Ever
I’m really lucky to have such a fun older brother. My brother Troy is my half-brother. RELATION: we both have the same Mum. I’d have to say he’s the brother I’m the closest to, partly because I grew up around him the most.
He lived with us when I was born up until the time I was about three and a half. Growing up I remember Troy would tease a lot, but more than that I remember him being “the cool” older brother. He took me to Jack-In-The-Box for my birthday one year in his red Fiat Spider. I felt like a movie star riding around in that car. He had fun movies and games at his house and he took us hiking and camping.

Troy when he was a cute little boy.
We were lucky enough to live close to Troy and Robin when they lived in Mesa, Arizona and then when they lived in Wellsville, Utah. When they were in Wellsville we were able to get to know and grow up with their three kids; Dianna, Ben and Elicia.
When he ran Danielsen Graphics (his printing business) out of his house in Wellsville, I loved helping him however I could. My favorite thing to help him with was collating. While he was remodeling his house in Wellsville I helped sand the sealing of a bedroom. I’m sure he thought it was great he got his little sister to help. But I really loved it, I thought it was great working with Troy and listening to music and joking around as we worked.
When we were older he took me and my sisters on some fun trips down to Southern Utah. We had fun hiking around the Arches, sharing a hotel room and staying up all night.

Robin, Ben and Troy
He now lives in Colorado and visits Utah pretty often. It’s always fun to see him and his wife Robin when they comes to visit. They are coming the first of October and it will be so fun to see them again.
Random things that remind me of Troy:
- Enya
- Queensryche
- Camping
- Hiking
- Malt-O-Meal cereal
- Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure
- Weird Al
- Printers Ink Smell
- water beds
- Jack in the Box
- Saabs
- Keanu Reeves in the Matrix
- Arches National Park
- MST3K
No more jeeps.

We finally sold our Jeep Wagoneer. Yah! We sold it about three weeks ago to a girl from Ogden who seemed really excited to get it.

I saw this on someone elses blog and thought it was good enough to steal and post here. The other blog said that the following sign was posted by Alaskan park officials:

Little Helper
Wellington always likes to help when I’m loading or unloading the dishwasher. I thought it was really cute when he drank from the little pool of water that had collected on the top of a juice pitcher. ‘Sip, Sip, Sip’
Besides helping me out with the dishes he likes to open all the cupboards and drawers to see what is inside. His favorite toy from the kitchen is a whisk…he loves it!

Nerdy Knits

Both Mark and I think these socks and baby hat look so fun. I really wish I knew how to knit and read a pattern. Holly do these look pretty hard to make? The link above has a pattern.
There is also a kid sweater that looked pretty fun. If only Wellington had these he would be a super cute nerd!

Mormon Record
Several couples in the LDS Church have had multiple births. On Sept. 1, 2002, Nichole and Nathan Faylor of the Plum Creek Ward, Austin Texas Oak Hills Stake, gave birth to quintuplets their five babies that weighed from 2 lb. 12 oz. to 4 lb. 5 oz., and were named Joshua, Jonathan, Joseph, Nataleigh, and Cathryn.
Sometimes I get stressed out with just taking care of Wellsy, I can’t imagine having multiples…that would be super stressful and crazy.
A couple of years ago I was helping a lady in our Kaysville ward with her foster triplet baby boys. I was feeding them bananas and I had the hardest time keeping up with them. As soon as you fed the third one the first one was already crying for more. I don’t know how she did it.
Barbara you remember that lady’s story don’t you, I can’t remember if she ended up adopted them or not. What was the story on that?
