Soda Photo

Here’s the link to submit a photo to Jones Soda. Who knows that embarrasing, cute or artsy picture might be chosen to be on their soda label!

For Rob:

Step 1:
Have your friend, Cameron Frye, put Ferrari up on blocks.

Step 2:

Put car in reverse.

Step 3:

Use brick to hold down gas pedal.

Step 4:
Sit back and let the wheels spin in reverse to turn back the miles.

Or

Another trick is to hook the odometer’s cable up to a drill and run it backwards to rewind the miles.

**Attention**

It is a class A misdemeanor to install on any motor vehicle a device that causes the odometer to register mileage other than the true mileage, or to knowingly sell any vehicle on which the odometer has been altered in this manner.

It is a third-degree felony to issue a false odometer statement, to disconnect, turn back, or reset the odometer of any motor vehicle, or to knowingly sell a vehicle on which the odometer has been altered in this manner. So dont really do it.

Quick music downloads.

This makes it really easy to download songs. Just search for your favorite artist or song. You’ll usually have many search results to chose from. Then right click the song you want, chose “save target as”-you’ll have to pick where you want the song to be saved to and then the song will start downloading. I really like to use this if I just want to download one song. I’m pretty impressed, It even had “Pac Man Fever” on it.

Tummy full of rice cereal.

Wellington has been sleeping through the night the last couple of nights because I’ve been feeding him lots of rice cereal before bed. He loves his cereal more than peaches, squash, bananas or applesauce. He still goes to sleep around 1:00 or 2:00 a.m., but I dont mind so much right now. Then he sleeps usually until noon and I usually wake him to go with me to take lunch to Marky. He is such a good sleeper boy these days, I hope he keeps it up and hopefully someday we’ll get him to bed earlier.

The Cube

Mark has been teaching me how to solve the cube. I’m almost there…a few more moves to ultimate nerdiness. Do you know how to do the cube?

Ouch, my pride hurts!

After a fun time with Mark and Wellington at the Celebration Centre, I was so excited to take my turn with the scooter and ride it home. Home is not too far when you take a private gravel/dirt road, then through some warehouse parking lot. You do this to avoid the freeway, and it makes a quick ride home.

I pulled out of Celebration Centre parking lot, excited to finally get a ride on the scooter (Mark is a scooter hog). It was a great 30 second ride, with the wind blowing in my hair, until I realized my turn was coming up fast, and the truck behind me was going even faster, so I tryed to exit the road quickly, and the gravel gave way under me, Mark said he thought I was going to recover, bur no I sadly did not.

I wiped out and I’m sure it looked awesome from behind. It wasn’t too bad I guess, a few scrapes and brusies, but mostly my pride was hurt. I was a bit embarrassed that I didn’t even think to use the foot brake. A girl stopped to ask if I was okay and I said, “I’m fine, just embarrassed.” Mark came quick to my rescue and picked the bike up off of me. I felt bad the bike recieved a little damage to the front light, but nothing that cant be replaced. I drove the Honda home and Mark helped me clean up and bandaged. I’d have to say I’m mostly brusied and sore.

I’m srue it could have been a lot worse if it was a heavier bike or if I was going any faster. I still love the scooter and can’t wait to ride it again, but I think next time I’ll avoid turning fast into any dirt roads.

Thanks to Mark for the great bandaging job. Mark takes good care of me. :)

1 hour

We let my Mom watch Wellington tonight for a whole hour, so we could go out on a little date. We went out to play pinball (my idea). We went to a couple different places to play; The Fun Park-they had a new Pirates of the Caribean pinball, Logan Lanes had a lame clown one called Hurricane, and then we went to the mall where they had an arcade, where we thought for sure they would have a pinball machine, but they didn’t. We ended up playing a few of their arcade games and it was fun. We finished out the night at our house playing our new driving game with Barbara and Ryan. Fun night, thanks for watching Wellington Mom!

Woot Off

In case you missed out previous post on Woot.com, the site usually has 1 deal per day, and no matter how big or small the item, it’s only $5 shipping (they sell big screen tv’s for good deals sometimes, and it’s only $5 to ship it to your door).

Well, today they are having a Woot Off. Basically, they are taking all of the stuff that they didn’t sell out of in the past, and marking it down even further until it does sell out. Usually you have to wait until midnight for a new deal, but on Woot Off’s, a new deal is posted after the previous deal sells out, so check back often as they will have lots of good deals through out the day.

Mmm..Ice cream.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted, mostly because I haven’t been feeling the best, dont’ worry, I’m okay, nothing that a little ice cream won’t cure. I thought I’d join in on the recipe posting fun, with this yummy reciepe….Pepto-Bismol Ice cream….(C’mon Heather, I dare you to try and make this one.)

  • Eggs (6 yolks)
  • Vanilla pods (2)
  • Milk (250ml)
  • Pepto-Bismol (1 bottle)
  • Cream (250ml)
  • Sugar (50g)

Start by splitting the vanilla pods and scraping out the tiny seeds. The seeds get added to the cream, sugar and eggs-a classic crème anglaise, the foundation of all good ice creams. This custard is taken off the heat as soon as it’s close to boiling (the point at which the liquid can curdle), and rapidly cooled over a bowl of iced water. Pour the Pepto-Bismol into the mixutre-yes, the whole bottle. Stir in well. The color dimishes quite a bit, so add a little red food coloring for a fun bright pink color. Now put in your favorite ice cream maker.

Thanks to our friends at www.makezine.com!

driving cab

We got our San Francisco driving cab this weekend and it is so fun! We played it in the garage the first night we had it home. (Thank you Gary for helping Mark, we wouldn’t be as cool without you).

It’s now squished in our kitchen along with our other monstrous toys, just when you think we couldn’t fit anything else in there. We love it and its so fun and very loud. Mark and I invite you to come play it.
