The final countdown!
Not too much longer now…Here is a countdown till my due date. Lets all hope it doesn’t go over that (wishful thinking) I’m excited and not really nervous, I know that during the delivery I’ll have a great support with Mark there. Now if we can only think of what to name him. We still have no idea. Any suggestions?

Thanks so much!
When Troy, my brother, came down to Logan this past weekend from Colorado, he brought with him some baby gifts from my niece Elicia and from my nephew Ben. It was so thoughtful and fun to get some baby stuff from them. Ben sent a large soft teddy bear, and Elicia sent some stuffed animals and a knitted blanket she made herself. I loved everything and took a picture with it all in the crib. The blanket was pretty impressive and will match perfectly with the other bedding I have. Thanks again Elicia and Ben, I miss you guys and love you!

Mario Guitar
Mark and I thought this was pretty amaizng, particularly the part when it sounds like collecting coins, how’d he do that?
Lithopanes

Marky and Gary just figured out how to do this cool thing with the CNC machine, its called a lithopane, its hard to explain but a lithopane is basically an image carved into a plastic or other “transparent” material that when held up to the light will show an almost photo realistic image. We used cheap plastic cutting boards from the dollar store. The carving can then be cut out of the cutting board and put in a light box or hung in a window. Mark wants to make a lamp shade with diffrent scences on it. Crazy? It looks pretty cool, you kind of have to see it in person. Shown above is the picture of Mark and I on our trip to Quebec. It was -40 degrees when we took this picture (hence the awsome hats), we would hop out of the car and take a picture really quick and then jump back in the car to warm up again. Without the light held behind it, you can still tell what it is, but it’s not as impressive until you hold the lithopane upto a light source…

5 commentsDo you drink from the milk carton?
It’s okay you can admit it, we all do it. I do, and Heidi I have a confession to make….yup, its true, from your carton too.
If you’ve voted on our “drinking from the milk carton” poll, 9 people have voted and the results so far are; 44% drink from the carton when no one is looking, 22% for drinking out of the carton in front of anyone, and 33% for no way!
If you’ve voted and thought that your vote was anonymous it wasn’t and I can tell you the following people drink from the carton when no one is looking:
- Heather
- Marky
- Rob
- Heidi
Those who will do it in front of anyone were:
- Me
- Someone out there, who I cant figure out their IP address (got off the hook this time)
Those who are more refined (no milk mustache picture available) and think that drinking from the carton is gross are:
- Amy
- Banna
- Korby
Thanks for participating in our polls and you can go to “Polls Archive” anytime to see what is ahead in the polls. Or see if there is a poll you haven’t participated in yet (there are about 16 current polls, and they are random each time you visit our site)
10 commentsDonkey Kong mini-lamp
The Donkey Kong mini lamp is finished (pretty much) and It looks awesome. Its a great addition to the baby room. It looks cool during the day and at night with the lights off. These pictures don’t do it justice. Mark and Gary built this with the CNC machine. It was glued together and wired with a do-it-yourself lamp kit.
The art work totally makes it and was printed off at Kinkos. Jealous? Our son is going to be such a nerd.

Funny Trick
Did you try the maze game? If a certain someone(mammy, my sweet mother-in-law, whom I love)** “warned†you against playing it, she is a known liar! You should still try the game.

Okay, by now you’ve either been tricked or know that the game is a goof. The maze game will scare you, make you jump or wet your pants a little. It’s a funny trick and you should trick your friends and loved ones too.
**Mammy, this is just a tease, you’re lovely and not a liar.
6 commentsTry and beat me!

Mark sent me this link the other day for a maze game, I have a pretty steady hand and I’ve only been able to get to level 3, it starts out easy but then gets harder. Try and beat me!
