3 commentsWhich is the ExactWorkiest?
As some of you may know, my brother-in-law Gary and I have been working on a CNC machine (computer controlled router), and have recently put a website up to refer business to (http://exactworks.com). When we finally decided on the the name ExactWorks (which took longer than you’d think), we put together a quick logo for the website:

Old Logo
I was never very happy with the logo (I liked the idea of incorporating a measuring tape or something into the logo, but I just couldn’t seem to illustrate it well enough to be happy with it). I finally gave in and had a more professional graphic artist take a stab at the logo design. I gave them complete creative control, so they ditched the measuring tape idea and came up with something completely different:

New Logo
I’m still torn. I think they did a great job, and I think the logo definately looks more professional than mine, but I’m still not 100% sold on it. What do you guys think? Which one do you prefer? What suggestions do you have? The comments are open…
P.S. I have uploaded the new logo to the ExactWorks website for now, but that doesn’t mean I have made up my mind.
9 commentsBest gyros and fries.

If you can make it to Logan’s Burgers and Sandwiches, they have the best gyros and french fries in town. I love their french fries, they are thick, super crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The gyros have tasty meat and Tzatziki sauce and the sandwiches are always steamy hot. The people that work there are so nice. They bring your food to your table and check halfway through the meal to make sure everything tastes okay. Their prices aren’t bad, about 6 dollars for a gyro, fries and refillable drinks. Mark and I highly recommend the place.

I orderd this dresser on-line about 5 days ago and I’m very anxious for it to get here. The dresser has a matching crib that goes with it, and I’ll probably get that a bit later. I’m excited to get the baby clothes off the couch and into the drawers. As you can see they’re starting to take over the love seat.

Mel’s busy schedule.
I’m often asked, “What do you do all day?†I just wanted to set the record straight and let people know I don’t just eat bon bons, shop and watch TV all day. My day is filled with plenty of constructive activities, here are a few examples…

Knitting sweaters for the homeless with Barbara.

Visiting with down and out statues.

Developing my “throwing arm†for the big game.

Our kitchen is the dream of any 8 year old. As you can see, half our kitchen area is
occupied by : TriZone (a pinball), the Markade (the mame cabinet), and a pop machine (soon-to-be a root beer inspired machine). On the walls are tin signs and a neon clock for some ambience. The black barstools are perfect for hours of sitting and playing. If you get thirsty while your playing, a slushie machine is on the counter. Anybody is welcome to come play or have slushies anytime! Go to “Our Condo†Gallery to see more pictures of the arcade kitchen or click on the above picture to see a close up.
Bundle of Boy!

We’re going to have a boy! During the ultrasound it was kind of funny, because he wasn’t very cooperative. He had plenty of room to stretch out but he was comfortable where he was and didn’t want to move, he looked like a gymnast with his legs straight up in front of his face. It must have been his naptime, at one point I saw him yawn (that was pretty cool).
He is measuring right on, and was about 6 inches from head to bum, and weighs about 9 ounces.
This Monday I’ll be halfway through my pregnancy. It seems like its going by fast, and he’ll be here in no time.
My sister-in-law, Heidi, is excited that we’re having a boy at the same time, I think it will be so fun too.
There are a ton of pictures in The Gallery of the ultrasound.

Which old wives tales predict the sex of my baby? I thought I’d try a few and see which ones were right and which were wrong (check back tomorrow to see).
Hang a needle, on a string, and hold it over your belly:
- Circular motion means it’s a boy
- Side to Side motion means it’s a girl
- Results: Girl
Hang your husband’s wedding ring, on a string, and hold it over your belly:
- Circular motion means it’s a boy
- Side to Side motion means it’s a girl.
- Results: Boy
Morning Sickness:
- Nausea in early pregnancy means, it’s a girl.
- If not, it’s a boy.

Korby and Scott Stevenson are the latest to join the cadre of family blogs with http://korbyscrazykids.com, narrowly avoiding white supremacist undertones by resisting the urge to spell crazy with a "K".
They are just getting the site going, so check with them often to see the updates and progress.
